Presentation of the ONCOMIP network

Oncomip, a cancer treatment network located Occitanie, is a non-profit association created in 2004. Each French region has a similar organization, whose mission is:

  1.  To ensure the quality of care for patients with cancer, regardless of their place of residence or treatment
  2. To ensure improvement and harmonization of business practices.

Oncomip helps to strengthen the relationship between professionals that have to decide how to act on the management of patients: specialists and general practitioners, nurses, psychologists ... they exercise in clinics, hospitals or offices.

Oncomip's mission

  • Contribute to a better health coordination

It is during these meetings that physicians of different specialties define the best treatment depending on the type of cancer, its stage, the medical history and general condition of the patient.
  2. Promoting the exchange of information between health professionals regardless of their specialty or practice location in the region, through the Regional Cancer Group (Dossier de Cancérologie Régional - DCR).This computerized database includes all the elements necessary for the continuity of patients’ healthcare. It is accessed via a secure Internet connection.
  3. By entering patient information and family with updated information on its website.
  • Harmonize and improve professional practice:
  1. Coordinating the development of regional standards of practice in organizing their distribution to all health professionals in Midi-Pyrénées.
  2. By participating in the information and training of regional actors in oncology. Objectives: to update their knowledge and improve professional practices.
